About the Foundation
The Sanibel Public Library Foundation, Inc. provides enhanced services that help make your Sanibel Public Library one of the very best in Florida. Since its creation, the Foundation has
- Sponsored the annual Library Author Series, with appearances by noted writers such as Joyce Carol Oates, Susan Vreeland, Jeff Shaara, J.A. Jance, and Alice Hoffman
- Supported a pilot project to develop a computer lab and resources for genealogical research
- Provided funding for the Library TeenSpace, where Island teens can collaborate on homework assignments and reading activities
- Underwritten the Library’s annual Summer Reading Program for children
